EDS markers
Obverse
A die scratch extends eastward from the tip of the nose. Other lighter die scratches in the area run the same direction. Concentric die scratches show inside the ear. A die gouge shows above the hair below and between WE and TRUST. Light NW-SE die scratches show in the date/mintmark area.
Reverse
A strong die scratch runs northwest from the upper left tip of the E of ONE. A heavy but short die gouge shows to the west of the C of CENT. Reverse is EMDS.
MDS markers
Obverse
E-W die scratches show in the first half of the date. Concentric die scratches show in the neck area below the hair and ear. Other die scratches show in the field around LIBERTY. Light E-W die scratches show in front of the forehead.
Reverse
Of note is a single die scratch running north from the lower right wheat grains next to the last A in AMERICA. Reverse is MDS.
LDS markers
Obverse
NE-SW die scratches show in the recesses in and around the ear. A concentric die gouge shows under the bust. A few E-W die scratches show in the date. Other die scratches show around LIBERTY - see photographs for exact position.
Reverse
A N-S die scratch shows to the right of the last A in AMERICA that intersects with the inner right wheat stalk. Reverse is LDS.
