Three heavy N-S die scratches show inside the 9 of the date. Other corresponding N-S die scratches show throughout the obverse.
Reverse
Die scratches run generally N-S throughout the reverse. A die crack extends from the outside of the right wheat grains south to the rim. Reverse is EMDS.

A light but full extra left curve shows to the west, and a complete extra lower serif shows as well. Light separation on the upper left curve of the primary mintmark rounds out the third punching.
