MDS markers
Obverse
A die 'bump' is seen between the lower T and Y of LIBERTY. NOTE: Two different MDS coins were used for these photos. Each coin offered better clarity in specific areas potographed.
Reverse
A die crack and chips show on the T of CENT. Reverse is LDS.
LDS markers
Obverse
Die gouges run south from the 1 in the date on to the jacket. The later the die state, the more pronounced the gouges. The extra 'D' punching clearly shows under the right side of the bust.
Reverse
Reverse die changed. Light die scratches encircle the entire reverse between the devices and the rim. They are more pronounced over the motto. A series of light die scratches inside the D of UNITED. Reverse is MDS.

A close spread west shows on the left side of the mintmark and serifs. In addition, this variety shows an extra D punching under the bust near the rim.
