Feeder finger damage from rim toward O in ONE. Heavy N/S die scratch from top of T in CVENT to A in STATES. SE die scratch through I in PLURIBUS. N/S die scratch through C in AMERICA. Small die gouge under O in OF.
MDS markers
Obverse
Die dot under R in LIBERTY. NE die scratches from lapel toward date and mintmark. NE die scratches coming from front of face. Heavy die scratch connecting O and D in GOD. Die scratch between GOD and WE. Reverse is MDS
Reverse
SE die scratches from E in ONE toward right wheat. Curved die scratch that almost connect U to M in UNUM. SE die scratches through ONE CENT. SE die scratches through UNITED STATES OFAMERICA.
LDS markers
Obverse
Die flow lines around the mint mark and date. A die dot to the east of the eye.
Reverse
Die chips on the upper right crossbar of the T in CENT. Remnants of an old die clash from the E in ONE to the N in CENT. Die deterioration to the east of the right wheat tip.

A southwest spread shows in the 19 of the date and in LIBERTY. Obverse is also listed as 1957D-1MM-027. This is one of the most difficult of the 1957D varieties to find.
