Generally N/S die scratches throughout the obverse. Reverse is EDS
Reverse
Very light E/W die polish marks through E PLURIBUS UNUM. E/W die scratches through upper E in CENT
MDS markers
Obverse
Die scratches flow mainly in a N-S direction with a few at other angles. Longer die scratches west of 1 that almost touch the jaw. One shorter scratch south of the upper lip. Die scratches N-S heavy, but fading through LIBERTY. Die scratches show on underside of lapel and on the east side of lapel. The deeper part of die, the higher part of the lapel is not affected.
Reverse
Die scratches flow in various directions. Die scratches through ES on STATES flowing NW-SE and E-W. Die scratches between letters in PLURIBUS and one above on the IBU. Reverse is MDS.
