NW-SE die scratches through LIBERTY and into the back of the coat. Concentric die scratches next to the rim below the bust.
Reverse
A small, light E-W die scratch shows just below the center of the memorial base. A die dot below the F of the designers initials. Reverse is MDS

Obverse
Large die gouge by 1 in date. NNE die scratches through date. Die gouges under I on LIBERTY. Crossing die scratches behind head. NNE die gouge from hair to W in WE. Reverse is EMDS.
Reverse
NW/SE die scratches cover the top of the reverse. Multiple die scratches in bays 9,10 and 11. ESE die scratches through ONE CENT.
