Obverse
Strong die scratches can be found on most of the obverse fields. Die scratches through the mintmark, behind the head and shoulder, and in front of the nose. A die crack runs from the hair east across the upper forehead.
Reverse
Two die scratches run east and SE from the D in United. Die scratches through EPU.
LDS markers
Obverse
Numerous strong die scratches run NE-SW through the 1 and 9 of the date. A strong die scratch from the back of the head, running SW into the field. A die crack in the upper forehead.
Reverse
A long die scratch runs from the lower E through the top of the left side of the N in CENT. Strong die gouges in the 5th, 6th, and 7th bays. A large die break down the 12th column.

Large date. This variety shows an extra lower horizontal bar inside the lower third of the primary mintmark. This doe is listed on Variety Vista as RPM-018 stage H and I.
