MDS markers
Obverse
Generally N-S die scratches show on the obverse. A few die scratches running NW-SE show through the date area. A curved die crack extends south from the 1 of the date.
Reverse
Concentric die scratches show scattered around the reverse - see photographs for exacr position. Reverse is LMDS.
LDS markers
Obverse
New heavy N-S die scratches show beneath IN GOD. The other die scratches from MDS still show but are worn. The die crack is a little longer and heavier.
Reverse
Cncentric die scratches are worn away. A new die scratch runs SE from the first A of AMERICA to the top right cornice top. Another die scratch runs WNW from the left base top. Reverse is LMDS

A strongly spread and moderately punched extra mintmark shows touching the 9 of the date. This die is also listed as 1960D-1DO-001. Values for this die differ widely from EDS to LDS. Values given are for MDS. Double the values for EDS, take away 25% for LDS. Old CPG 25.4 (also listed as FS-101)
