MDS markers
Obverse
Numerous die scratches show all over the obverse. Of note is a heavy die scrath that runs north from the E of LIBERTY.
Reverse
Numerous NW-SE die scratches show on the upper half of the design. Ither die scratches run in all directions in the lower half of the design. Reverse is MDS.
LDS markers
Obverse
Doubling is less visible. Most MDS die scratches have worn away. Around the date, LIBERTY and around TRUST, with a raking light old die scratches can be seen. Noteworthy die scratches: diagonal under U in TRUST; in the field above TY in LIBERTY. Die gouging and pitting around the date as well as below the date going into the coat. LMDS/LDS
Reverse
Many, but not all MDS die scratches have worn away. Some are visible through ONE CENT; die clash marks above and below the memorial as well as bay 3; die gouging to right and below E in ONE near rim; die gouging below column 3 in the field near clash marks; die gouging below the E in CENT; old die scratch coming from the U in UNITED toward the memorial roof corner.
