Obverse: Old die scratches run southwest from the back of the bust. A die gouge shows as a heavy dot on the back of the collar east of the Y in LIBERTY. Two die gouges show under the bust - one just beneath the shouder fold, the other beneath the lapel.
Reverse: A heavy die scratch runs southeast from the inside of the lower left wheat grains. Other lighter die scratches parallel this one and show over most of the reverse.
