Obverse: Numerous N-S die scratches throughout the obverse. A heavier die scratch run NE from the 9 in the date. Parallel die scratches run to the north from the field above LIBERTY.
Reverse: Numerous N-S die scratches throughout the reverse. Heavier die scratches between the T and A and A and T of STATES. A die scratch runs to the SE from the left wheat to the U of UNITED and from the field to the N of UNITED. Reverse is MDS.
