Very nice! Quick question if I may. I have had some coins that have that waffle like trails, but it appears to be more dominant coming of the letters. I'm not sure if they are just really long before they fade out or just the coin. OK 2 questions what does cause that e(a)ffect (just tried to look up the correct word..."“When I left tbut you gethe stove on, the effect was that the house filled with smoke.” When you affect a situation, you have an effect on it" Hopefully you get my drift
Now I'm even more confused,
if you know what I'm talking about?
Thanks, Tery

Those are very nice pictures of a nicer trails die. I tend to agree with the attribution of 040. Very nicely done!

Finally home. Still on crutches and a walking cast, but HOME.
Found this the other day. Obverse has the long die gouges over In God We Trust so I'm going with the 040.
On Mr. Neffs site he has stages B & C for this coin. This may be an earlier date state. In the forth picture you can see that the die chip under the top left cornice has not formed yet on my coin.
