We got to remember, these dimples are on the coin, so they are a raised area on the die. Polishing the die will not create dimples.

| Some dimples are made while polishing is done and part of the deeper devices are affected. These seem to follow the devices closely though. |

That's cool that someone had the dimples on the radar screen
I remember seeing a few 2006-P cents when I was OBW roll searching and there were several dies that had that same sort of shallow area next to RTY. It was one of those things you could see easily while searching but I couldn't say what it was but could see it was on certain dies. |

It seems that the Denver mint is producing dimples by the car load. We will not be following up on this hubbing anomaly because it is just to common. I have enclosed a picture of a 2006-D Lincoln cent with dimples.
While dimples is gone to be very common, it is still a variety type. However, I doubt that it will bring any premium.

I found an example similar to 2011d-100DEDO-001AJ. My question is that I didn't see in the listing where there were any of the Design Extension Dimples on the reverse. There appears to be under "R" of America and one to the right of the dollar sign. I have the picture of the one to the right of the dollar sign. Its not the best pic. |
Any thoughts on this. Thanks for looking. |
