How common or unusual is for the Dot to be missing that precedes Unum in the Lincoln Cent. I would have to guess that it is a filled die but in 40 years of variety searching I have not noticed one before. This one is on a 1963D BU Lincoln. Is it common or can I call American Airlines for my ticket to Hawaii?~lucky2

Probably not common, but you'd have to find a buyer willing to spend money on it. You better wait on the ticket, I'd figure its value to be quite a bit less than $5 unless the coin grades MS66 or higher, and then the dot makes no difference. A 1963D cent in MS67RD is a $1500+ coin. _________________ C. D. Daughtrey
