Catherine, The folks have been giving you some very valuable information. It is good that you have found this forum. I had a very BAD experience with ANACS, and they are the LAST place I will ever send another coin to. I sent a 2005-P quarter, before they were released to the public. I was going to have it attributed, and put it on Ebay. I sent $30.00 which included $12.00 for the attribute(s), $8.00 for postage, etc. That was the 14th of March, 2005. After a call to find the status of the coin, I was informed that it was "in the safe", and that I had to send another $8.00 for postage, to have it returned Priority mail. I figured $30.00 bucks was enough, and opted for a regular mail post. I received the coin: MS65, the 15th of JUNE, 2005! Needless to say, I won't recommend that service! Any of the others are okay, from what I hear. One very proud owner of a $30.00 quarter! OH yeah! Welcome to the rest of us Newbys! Dick

ED, I have been down that road! I think I own all the culls made since 1909-1940! I bought a lot of them, thinking that I could fill some holes, and I was right. A cull in every hole, except the three, or four major keys. I did find a lot of odd-balls, tho. Mike Diamond put me onto the die dents, and that got me started looking thru them, again, then BJ had me looking for '46-S's, and so it goes.... Dick

Well, I got it back today..... Its a mchine doubling ... like ya'll thought. Crying or Very sad

Oh well.. Any one want to buy a 1969 Proof Set for $181.00

Some nice proof grades there Catherine. There may be some folks interested in the individual coins...especially graded like they are.
Sorry about the strike doubling though. Something to keep in mind also. Proof coins are normally struck muliple times to impress the image deeply and with more clarity. I have found lots of strike doubling on proof coins.

What I try to do is send in a few things for grading that I know are worth getting in a holder like well knows varieties that I want to keep nice and have them attributed just in case I'm not around someday and someone else sells them. (I hope to live forever but don't expect to) I might throw in one questionable thing that I might not be sure of or I know its a ddo but not sure they will put the label it.

That way I don't feel bumbed when I get them back in the mail, there's just a few that can come back no lablel or with problems. Often it is a happy surprize.

As Bob said those aren't bad grades for the proofs either.
