I agree the wrappings are red, but did you say you found some ones little "markers", such as "1955-S,#1 see R and U "?
Mint wrapped rolls I have received, (very few!), did not have any other tissue, or other paper inside. In fact, they were two rolls of nickels, P&D, and were so filthy dirty, spotted, and looked like they had been "kicking around on the floor" in some "Greasy Spoon" somewhere! They were shipped from the Fulfillment Center, in Memphis, or somewhere there. I will not ever buy another roll from the "mint"! A bag of 100 quarters, 2005-P was not much better, came from the same place, as part of the order.
Whoever put them there, sure indicated the areas to check. I also agree that there are a lot of Machine doubling, as noted by a very notable "shelf", next to the digit. Regards, Dick

Catherine, I thought you said there were markers, 27 of them! I went back to read your thread?, and sure enough, you confirmed my hunch. Someone was a meticilus collector!
"I noticed a marker on one of the coins". I cheated, and read them! , Dick

Ed, you just confirmed my hunch. I told Catherine, that I didn't know of the mint wrapping rolls that way, and now that I think of it, they sure wouldn't put little markers to indicate what, and where to look at! Dick
