Dick I have spent more money then i will even mention looking for a way to take good pictures!! I have mastered IN RELIEF but still can not get a good picture of a FULL coin.
its fustrating.
I bought a camera set up with the lights and white box and litghed panel.... Cant get it to work on coins. I have a microscope two eyed but hubby suggested NOT getting the one with the camera. UGH!! I have this new PC microscope but it is too close to get the whole coin.
Then of coirse my expensive camera that I cant figure out. I can take very good pictures of my thumbs though.

I almost always break down laughing after spending 3 hours to get a decent picture of 1 coin and then find out its machine doubling or I was seeing thing......

Hubby thinks Im insane. Probably am.
We went out to dinner with the folks last night and my mom dipped into her purse to pull out CHANGE for the tip. I panicked and left a $10.00 so I could take up the 2 bucks in change.
There were pennies man.. I couldn't let that happen.
I love this hobbie....
