I made one of my collecting goals by adding 1953-S 1MM-004 to my collection. I want to thank the people in this site, the people who have educated me and the people who have traded with me. Thank you coppercoins!!!

Lincoln cent RPM # 50 let me add... I dont think I made it clear in my original post. Anyways, I think that at my age, very little people have been able to assemble a collection like this one. At this rate, Ill be done with the Lincoln cent series before Im 30

Good going Gabe! They will get substantially harder to find when the list narrows down, but you have quite a way to go before you readh that point. There are a number of them that you will have a hard time locating at any price.
Nevertheless, it's still an admirable goal. I've been doing it seriously for a number of years and haven't attained but half a set. I still have the other half to go, but through all the work I'm going through, maybe not only can I define what a set really is, but end up collecting one as well.

I think Im well in my way to reach the 100 RPMs. .. just after my last post, I was able to add 4 more RPMs to the collection, most 1961-D RPMs. Variety collection has beent he most fun area in which I have specialized in coin collecting, and dont think that I will stop variety collecting any time soon.

That's one of the biggest reasons I got involved so much into die varieties - for a very common era in coins, there sure are a LOT of different ones to collect in 1960, 1961, etc. With the coins being so cheap, it's easy to accumulate a larger "set". And OHHH what a feeling of happiness one can get when they have a run of RPMs 20-30 coins long without a break. I remember sitting and gazing at my 1960D RPMs when I got all the numbers from 10-40 finished.

I kinda know the feeling Chuck. I have dies 1-7 done for 1961-D and I look at them ocassionally with amazement, I cant wait until I complete the whole date.
By the way, was looking today at some pocket change and came across a 1988-D RPM. The RPM is very minor, but clearly there. Dont really know what to do now with this RPM, since I have never comed across an RPMs from the 1980's.

Today in the morning was looking at some lose change, and cam across a 1988-D 1MM-003. Not bad for 1 cent, and the coin is in AU with lots of luster.

That sounds cool! Those ones in the 1980s are always really tough to find - very few different dies and a really high mintage of "normal" coins adds to the greatly.
