I put 2 of these coins on ebay as an experiment to see if they will sell. selling 2 coins at one price started off the bidding at $9.99. But My question is do you think the experiment will work and they will sell. God only knows. But I am interested in hearing other veiw points.

Darrel, I just checked your item(s), and it is nice. I have never sold, but have bought a lot. Wait 'til the last two haors, then the bidding begins! I have waited until the last few SECONDS, to place a bid, and still got beat out!

Sometimes I notice that for something minor if you have a bunch and just want to test if you start with say 1 cent and about the real shipping cost plus $2 for packing it so you can't loose your money sometimes it gets more attention. Sometimes even for a big item they just won't start with a reasonable minimum bid but they get started cheap and go crazy increasing it.
Also I've seen sometimes they just won't buy unless you have about 50 positives.

I dont expect them to sell really. Just put them on as an experiment. Not many plp buy minor die varieties the same year they came out. Now if it was considered major then you know what happens. plp goes crazy over them then all of a sudden the following year they are worth about half what they paid for them.

Something else to consider is what you actually can get for them...period! Remember, we are talking about one cent here. If you get a buck for it, you have made a 99% profit. Another thing to consider is shipping costs. I understand that priority mail costs that much, but i just can't see paying 4 buck to mail one cent. What I would do is make the buyer decide what manner of shipping they prefer. If I won this coin for 99 cents, I don't think I would pay four times that amount just to get it to me...but other folks might be willing to do so.
Anyway, that's just my opinion.

Him the math seems odd on that? one Cent with a 100% profit would be two Cents. $1.00 would be 10,000% if my brain is thinking correct. Still early for me though?
I guess that would be a GREAT profit.

well there is a flat rate I learned about at the post office where you can send as much as you can fit into one priority envlope for 4.05.
Also I put 9.99 on the 2 coins just to see if they would go. Putting a higher number on something seems to make it go faster then some with 0.99. Maybe it is just nebies Like me that buy them but we shall see what happens. keep watching.

Darrel
you could also put that cent in between cardboard and mail it for . 39 cent as well.
and charge . 39 for shipping. ppl would buy it for that just to see what the fuss is all about.
9.99 for 2 cents plus . 39 shipping that's is a total of $10.38. that my two cents.
WOW my two cents is actually worth $10.38 IM gonna be rich woohoo. lol

It must be like this:
1C sold for 2C = 200% 100% profit
1C sold for 10C = 1000% 900% profit
1C sold for $1 = 10,000% 9,900% profit
1C sold for $10 = 100,000% 999,900% profit
----------------------------
Revised:
1C sold for $10 = 100,000% 99,900% profit
Nobody noticed but.......
Guess I don't get an A in math after all!
-----------------------------
Coop you got an A in math?
I bet we all got Ds in spelling
Coop, speaking of high school I was reading your old post about making hammers and wondered how many schools made them? The funny thing is I still have my hammer, screwdriver, corn cob holders. I wonder if you were in my class? I think the teacher that made us make those hammers was Mr Tomasaukus or something like that and his favorite term was MEKP. Did you have the same class?
