1. In August this year, I saw an ad for some BU half dollars, given, (promised) in return for a subscription, (one year). I ordered two years, with the intent to get two sets of coins.
To date these coins have not been received! They were promised by mid november, 2006, by KRAUSE publications
2. The same thing happened, same company, KRAUSE publications, this time the offer was 10 coins, BU 1999 quarters, "P", and "D" mints. Two year subscription, and two sets of coins, (20), to be received in return for the subscriprion. Inquiries resulted in the same answer, mid November. To date, NO coins!
I emailed them today, re both issues, and demanded an explanation.
In the event I don't get my two sets of coins for each subscription, I will formally report them to the Postal Inspector General, for fraud, and false advertising! BE CAREFUL WITH THIS OUTFIT!!!

Keep on them Dick, but I would also point out that sometimes they get more orders than they have coins. In this case, they should offer you a replacement of some sort. Either way, be persistent but not arrogant. I have not known them to not deliver, albeit later than they say. Trying to prove fraud or false advertising will be difficult at best. Being slow pokes is more like it.

Bob, I got another email from them, saying the account has no record of their saying that coins were offered, and that I should keep the email(s) so they can keep up with what the subject is. I gave them the dates, the check numbers, the debit card dates, and the items offered, so they could check their records. I also told them that if they could not, or would not honor their offers, to cancel all subscriptions, immediately. There is close to $100 bucks involved for the mags, and the coins were what I wanted. The info in the mags, is also in COIN World, so their info is superfluous! All I wanted was the JFK half dollars, BU, but not released into circulation, and the "P" & "D" 1999 quarters, BU as well. Mine are from circulated coinage. I got the offers from their ads, I believe on CONECA's site. THAT is why I went for it. The specified that the coins would be offered with each subscription. I ordered two subs., for each mag.
BTW, those offers were promos. Their ads, don't make the same offer, now. I checked.

Bob, I think this might interest you. I was informed by the publications, that my account was reviewed, and the coins will be sent, as offered. They will be delivered within 60 days. If I do not receive them, by this time, please contact, Publications again. Looks like I may fill those holes with BU, after all!

Glad to hear that Dick! As I mentioned before, I have never known them to not come through on their offers, although they can be (and in this case ARE) very slow.

Yeah, Bob, the case is that I collect state quarters, and the 1999 are all rough ones, from circulation. When I decided to collect them, it was too late to get BU, other that buying them so I started filling holes with the best I could pull from the boxes of rolls. I do have a set of "P"&"D", except for the Dakotas. THAt was the reason for the susscriptions. The non circulated JFK half dollars for 2006, was the other reason. Thios too, has ceased, since I bought my QSZ scope. Now I buy boxes of cents! The advantage there, is that I can save a lot more, for a lot less!
