There's been so many posts where people ask about the thin cents. I thought I'd post a photo and get the surface to show so people can see it.

They're dipped in acid as experiments or to shrink them to dime size to spend in old vending machines. I guess if they did it to a zinc cent it would just fizzle into nothing Surprised

Typicaly these look dime sized and thinner than cents at 10x the surface will look like an orange peel but most wording is still quite clear. They sell them on ebay as everything but what they realy are. They are worth a cent (or less) A real cent on dime planchet is totaly different.

This one is a 1941 toned and probably made long ago:

I still find them in circulation. I think I have about 6 of them now. All in different thicknesses. All worth less than a Cent in my opinion.
