For those of you who knew that I would be having surgery, it went OK. I got a new knee cap and some donor tendons, and the procedure went very well.
The bad news is that my body is rejecting the tendons, so the surgery was most likely a failure. I do have less pain, and the staples are keeping everything in place for now. Sooner or later, the knee will have to be replaced..most likely sooner than later. I guess my days as a running back are over
Anyways, I appreciate all the messages of good luck. I will address each one of them individually as time permits. Much thanks to all of you and God Bless!

Bob,
Sorry to hear about the problems with your tendons. Hope that things get straightened out. Don't feel too bad about the "running back" days being over, there are lots of great coin days ahead for you.
I'll keep you in my prayers. God bless!

Bob,
I know exactly what blowing a knee feels like. I blew mine snow skiing. I wish ya best of luck on surgery #2. My thoughts are with you.

Thanks again guys. I really appreciate all your kind words. Looks like surgery # 2 will have to wait a while. I am actually getting around pretty well though, so no problems so far. The staples are doing their jobs and keeping everything in place.
Once again, many thanks!
