Hello Chuck,
I just took a peak at your site lincolncent.com. Good job! I have started collecting lincoln's cent in my 20's I'm now in my 50's. The cents that caught my eye were the wheaties, which I just dumped in a drawer or trinket box and they followed my through the years , never really payed much attention to the history or bothered to learn about them, ..until the age of the computer era. I started watching coin shows on TV and became fascinated on all there was to learn. Started computer searches found sites like this and learned even more. And so I got hooked.
Poor people like myself don't have lots to leave to loved ones, just memories and the coin collection. I'm sticking with U.S. coins (which will be passed on to my only son [no grands]). He has shown interest, I'm delighted to say.
Now recently I've bought albums to store them in and I've come across that the early dates (1910's, 20's, 30's, 40's and some 50's) are scarcely seen. (if I should be so lucky to come across them). My funds are limited, so I wouldn't be able to buy many at one time. I would most definitly buy cents in the near future I need to fill the albums .
On the site [lilincolncent] will you be adding more picture to the individual coins for sale? I see there aren't very many. It would help to see them before a purchase is made.
Thanks.

Hi Chooksey,
I will eventually be adding images for all coins valued at $10 or higher. There frankly isn't enough time in a day, and for coins under $10 I figure my time is worth more than the possible lost business from not having photos...but yes, the higher dollar coins will eventually all be photographed.

Unfortuantely, I will not be attending the FUN SHOW. Im currenty in Puerto Rico, and realized that my return ticket is for Friday January 5th.
Saturday January 6th (3 Kings day) is a very huge holiday in Puerto Rico, something like Thanksgiving, and I couldnt miss spending time with family during this time.
Hopefully, I will make it next year....

Sorry we won't see you at the show Gabe, but I certainly agree that family is a priority, and there's always next year. I will search for and find all the nice coins you would have found, so at least in that respect, you'll be represented. Have a wonderful holiday season!

Actually Wensday is a set up day for dealers and people who are putting exhibitions together. I will be there all the days that the show is open for I am doing an article for "ERRORSCOPE" on what is going on. Hope to see you all there.

Hopefully I'll get a jump on you guy's. I will be searching hard and fast.
I will be with my close friend who has a table. We will be located in the center of the room right at the large center column "BuffaloMountain Rare Coins". Phil has a several nice Lincoln's. Come by and take a look. Please mention that you seen on the internet that he was giving a 50% discount on all Lincoln's. I don't think he will honor my 50% discount, but it's worth a try. Make sure to mention my name "Rob Bruner".
Come by and say hello,
Rob

Chooksey,
The one in his picture is the big one for 72 and it's doubled everyplace not just the date. If the 55 DDO is the king of DDOs the 72 1DO-001 is the queen of DDOs.
There's a total of 9 and recently even a 10th DDO for 72 plains. There's more for 72... I think there's 4 72-D DDOs that most people ignore but they're neat too. There are 72-S DDOs that are nice and overlooked by most collectors. There's also a 72-S proof DDO that's very seldom seen and would make your day to find! It's one of the neat years for DDO hunting, there's a platoon of them to look for.
If you search the site it shows a bunch of them. Try the search function to see most of them. Search with this link:

Thanks for addressing all the 72 info Ed. That 1972 Biggie DDO, as well as just about all of the 1972 P and D DDOs shown on the site are from my personal collection. It would definitely make your day, week or year if you find one of them.
AS far as the FUN show goes, most of you already know about the accident and broken leg I went through last week. Needless to say, I won't be there this year again. I was so looking forward to going there. Instead, I will be staying in Boston for a couple of weeks. I will be back home some time in the middle of January, but will still have access to the Internet and microscope etc. Y'all have a terrific New Year.
