Found a better example of the 1941P 1DO-006 than I found before. This one shows what I believe to be doubling not only on the date, LIBERTY and ear but on the motto and lapel. On the lapel it shows in two places the one I have indicated with arrows and below that more of the lapel doubling. The D in GOD both Ts and the U in TRUST. COOL STUFF.
Here's a beginner's guess EDS example of a class 4 with EF detail

Nice find Steven!
I haven't found that one yet.
I'm always wrong about die states but I also think EDS because the details and the Y look clearer than pictures I saw of that one.

Ed,
The sharpness of the Y and the better grade was what got me to looking around the coin for markers and I noticed the doubling in the motto and lapel. This one doesn't have the markers of the MDS and LDS listed.
Maye not the same die???
Just a guess on the EDS don't know for sure.

Steven, did I see "trails" om lliberty?
I just looked at your coin again. Did you notice the nice "new looking "41", along side the old, beat up 19"? On liberty, there is enough spread to place a micro "S" in between the marks!
Where you guys getting all those BU coins???
Compared to mine, they look BU!
Nice find! If the words come out with extra letters, don'y be surprised. I was outside a couple hours ago, and still can't see the print on the monitor!

Dick,
You been looking at the sun
It hasn't shown up here much lately. Rain and cold.
Wish I could get hold of some older BU wheats without the bloodletting. I got into collecting a few years too late to get them for a decent price I guess.

That makes two of us! My point, of course, is that I got into the collecting stage, after the kids were grown, and I was then retired, with a limited income. I was too late for this hobby, I guess. I don't plan on being "left out", in the next life. I intend to start early, and let grow with me. You talk as tho you are about my age. I'll bet you are not over 65.
The weather is going to stay nasty for a while, (maybe all winter). We see the incoming storms, and they go north of us, then clobber the wid-west! You know how that goes!
Now that it is upon us, let's all have a happy New Year, and start 2007 off with a big find! I'll give you a hint to my age: 19 Feb., 2007 will be our 52nd wedding anniversary.

TOL-JA!
Actually, my school marched in the parade, celebrating the National Recovery Act, in 1932. We had no idea how badly we had been hurt, and wouldn't for generations!
