'nother one for the junk bowl. I have a few of them that start self-destructing, just SE of the MM, like this one. All are in the "circular file" Not enough copper to salvage in the plating, so why waste the time, and space?

Yeah Darrel, those that are self-destructing, go into a dish for dumping. I.E., going back into circulation, as replacememnts for rolls shortages.

The reason these coins go back to the pile Darrell, is that this anomaly is nothing more than a plating and corrosion problem. This is prevalent on many coins from the late 80s to early 90s.
Once the copper plating is broken through, the zinc core quickly begins to corrode causing these bubbles
