Bruce,
I do not believe these would be refered to as cuds. I believe that cuds would be along the rim of a coin caused by a part of the edge of the die breaking away.
I believe that the LIIBs or BIEs and filled letters and numbers would be started as a small die chip or crack that will enlarge somewhat during the life of the die. This may have been caused by clashed dies or a weakened area of the die from use.
Sorry I don't have exact answers but I am fairly new to this myself. Maybe someone will come along to confirm or correct my answers and I really don't think any questions are stupid in the learning process. I may throw out an answer that sounds stupid sometimes but not intentionally.

Would the LIIB cents be called the type 2 bie cents if I label them in a 2x2 because they are from the Lincoln memerial series, and everything that is a wheat cent BIE would be a die break BIE also but a type one, and these are error coins not varieties coins correct ? Where there any die break Bie cents in the 40's or was it just in the 50's and 60's.

Bruce I do not know of any in the fourties and sixties but that doesn't mean that their aren't any. I would not classify them as types just as LIIB or BIE. They would not be types to my understanding.
I believe most people just list them as "BIE or "LIIB".

I did run across one BIE that I like and that is in conjunction with an RPM 1956D 1MM-001.

Bruce, I don't know if there is a "firm" name for them, but I, and others, refer to them as blobs, which are actually filled dies, and can happen anywhere there is a void. You will see them most commonly on letters, and numbers. To my knowledge, they have no premium.

Hi Dick,
Thanks, as for me I collect coins I never sell any of my coins so as for a premium on these this does not matter. After collecting coins for thirty years this new area of collecting is new to be and I am learning things new every day. And I would like to thank you and the others here for all your help.

BRUCE.
