Just a post to say hello. I've been hoarding change for many years, getting to a point in life at which it's time to organize them. CD's responses have been very helpful to me with my cents, so I thought I'd visit here to meet some of you. I've got lots of pennies, but not the keys. Still missing the SVDB, 55DDO, 31s and 9 others. I keep looking.

Welcome, eaz. You have the "looT', now you will find there is a "lot" you can do with, and learn about, like we all have, and are doing. Despite my numbers, I am just another "newbie". I have many questions, that I haven't begun to ask, because, like you I have a large amount of cents, and am just begining to get them organized. Some have gone into albums, but the major part are going into rolls, to be checked with patience, and, thanks to the forum, more knowledge about them, than before. Don't be afraid to ask questions. That is what we are here for: to help each other. Welcome aboard!
Dick

Thank you, Steven, Dick and Murph for the welcome. Like Dick, I've put some cents into albums, many just rolled ( from 1941 forward ). I have not sorted any of the 59 forward coins.

Most of my "collecting" time is going into trying to get photos of some of the better coins I have, and trying to learn my way through all of the cyber aspects of getting them onto forums.

I just bought a set of 13 coins in a Capitol plastic holder which appear near perfect to me. They include 10 proof Frankies ( 61 and 62 ) and 3 MS65+ Indian Head nickels ( 37D ). 3 of the Frankies are cameo, one of them possibly DC. I've become so enthralled with them, I've not gotten back to my pennies.

If I can get a decent pic, I'll try to post for any comment.

In the meantime, I continue to seek the semi-key cents, 09s,11s. 12s.12d. etc.

Welcome Raz!

I'm impressed that you seem to have joined the board back in December of 1969. Not sure how you did that, but I guess that makes you the poster with the longest time on Coppercoins! You even beat Chuck by 30+ yrs. Impressive!

Ahh.. The default date shows up once again! Probably because Chcuk has to register each person manually in the background due to a glitch in the programming. It'll be taken care of soon enough. I just hope you're older than 36 Raz. It's not fair joining the forum before you're born Laughing

Bob P; Robert; Idarelic,

It's little known that Chuck and I actually began this board in the Fortran language of the 70's. I've been active all along, but by hidden formulas...

Seriously, I'm sure it was the default password I had to use to start. Though with my computer skills, it could conceivably take me 30 years to get something done.

I was born in '44, just joined, am complimented by any reference to age 36 and look forward to getting to know you all.

This is the wrong place to ask, but since it has been stated, more, or less. I wonder who is the oldest member? I know I am one of the Great-grand-fathers. But I'm still young at heart! Any takers?
