I always get a kick out of the weird minds of folks as they try to sell their stuff on EBay etc. They are always looking for a catchy phrase for their coin to help them sell it.
Well, I would like to start this thread with a few recent finds that show the more humorous side of what die cracks, gouges, clashes and other things can do to give you a unique coin. Go ahead....dig through that pile or your collection, and see what kinda stuff you can post here. I will start it off with 4 of mine.
This one is Lincoln after a hard day at the memorial, and he just sat back down, but with a pillow behind his head.
Now I really don't know what it is that caused this anomaly, but doesn't it look like bricks around the statue's legs??
This one shows Mr. Lincoln prior to his magic show. Notice the wand or spear he is holding.
This one is proof positive that Lincoln was a smoker...
Let's see what you can all come up with

I was thinking the very same thing Gary. I don't think anybody loves me any more
Anyway...I am very surprised that we have had no comments or additions to this thread. Maybe I'll try another thread with the Playboy Bunnies using coins to cover up. Think thatll get any responses??

We do love you Bob but now we are trying to find some funny Linc's ourselves. Actually I was thinking about doing something like myself, I'll post anymore I find that are funny looking, now that I know someone else thinks the same as I do.

Anyway, this thread will always be here, so folks can add to it as they find things.

Bob, Every time I see the first, (pillow), I can't help thinging that it is not the pillow that one has to be careful of! Look again: Abe is quietly sitting there, "with a big club on his shoulder"! it is on the column 6. I have the rest of the spear, in his hand, #3. I will post it, (when I find it again). It is in bay #5.

#2 there looks like Abe sitting on one of his split rail fences.
#3 looks like he has a sword in his right hand... ready to slay a dragon.
#4 looks very much to me like "The Outlaw Josey Wales" in profile.

I can almost picture Lincoln saying some of these lines from the movie:
"Now remember, things look bad and it looks like you're not gonna make it, then you gotta get mean. I mean plumb, mad-dog mean. 'Cause if you lose your head and you give up then you neither live nor win. That's just the way it is."
"I reckon so. I guess we all died a little in that damn war. "
"Well, Mr. Carpetbagger. We got somethin' in this territory called the Missouri boat ride. "
Well, maybe not.

Here is one I have been hanging onto. Beautiful coin and I don't think I could bring myself to part with it.
Does this sound like an e-bay add or what...............

Looks like a trail Cent. One that should hit the trail.....
Here is another copper funny.
I got a copper nickel today from my brother in law. What would it be worth??
The funny is that it is real and I got it for free. What a great guy.
