Believe it or not, I found this in a circulated Brinks roll of Lincoln cents from the bank. In the box that I got, there have been about 30 wheat cents found in the rolls. It may have been some small collection that got dumped or spent by a little one.
Probably a high end Very Fine with a early die state and a nice little clip.

I agree. A clip like that was probably picked up by the first person who noticed it. That's why it is better not to store your collection in bank rolls. They go back to the bank as easy as regular coins as they all look alike.

Wow, and on a 1922D cent. I suggest getting ahold of Sean Reynolds if you want to sell. He'd likely give you top dollar for it.

Guys, I think the only reason I "Might Not" send my "goodies" to the bank, even tho they are in rolls, is that I have each box inventoried by roll, and all the ones I want to keep, (separate) from the rest, are kept in flips. Maybe That will help. Sure is a nice '22D Mine don't the '22" in any shape mint, or otherwise"! It goes without saying, that it has been a very long time since there were "little ones" around, that might do something like that. Mine were very well trained, that you don't touch things that are not YOURS, or that you have permission to touch. My kids were raised during the time when parents STILL had the Authority, to spank, if necessary! They knew that when one said NO, it was in their best interest to "hear, and obey"! Sorry about getting off the "subject", but I am proud of my kids, even if they are nearly all grandparents, too! The only sad thing,is, that NONE of them are coin collectors!!

You all keep on searching.

Congrats on a nice pick-up. Just finding 30 wheats to look thru is fun enough WITHOUT finding anything as cool as this 22D.

Thanks BJ. I'm still looking for 2007 varieties. If we find as many this year as we did last year, we could refer to them as the Heinz 2007 Varieties. (go ahead, you can laugh!) I'm really not looking forward to anything like that again unless it's a variety that is major in nature.
Hey, I have been tearing up the Wide AM's last two week-ends. A week ago Sunday I found a 1998 T2 and then last Sunday I found a 1999 T2! Imagine finding the two hardest ones within a week of each other.
Your find reminds me of when my uncle Bob cashed in Aunt Jean's Indian Head Cent collection at the bank. They were just a bunch of pennies in a jar to him, but to Jean they were a lifetime collection of Indian Heads. You don't see them anymore! (She still talks about that, hehe.) Well I want you to know that I was finding on average one IH penny to every two boxes of pennies that I searched through a few years ago. These were Fed wrapped pennies that I was searching and there's not much chance the IH's were Jean's, but it does make one wonder how many people actually do let their jar collections loose for people like us to find.

By the way, do you have a 2006, WSDDR-001 that I can buy, or steal from you?
Thanks Murph

Murph - Same place, although the tornadoes had in mind to move me a bit. Just went over and saw some of the damage they did to a bunch of stores near by. It is really weird how they take out one thing but leave something only a few yards away completely untouched.
Thanks Murph - BJ

Welcome to OZ. We're somewhat used to that here. Takes about ten years for the scars to heal. We've had three pretty big tornado outbreaks here in the past five years. One of them neary completely leveled three towns...Pierce City, Stockton, and the town I live very close to, Battlefield. Pierce City still hasn't come back to life, and it has been four years.
