Out of the piles of coins I have gone thru, since joining the forum, There never is enough markers to "prove" the coin in hand is what I suspect, and or hope it to be. What does one do in that case? Toss them back? Return them to the bank?
Go ahead and mark them as what one "thinks" they might be?
I know, check CONECA, but for the most part, the info from there is not clear enough, (for me, and my eye condition), so I am left with a dilemma. Post them, and let you folks "do the work", or maybe hold off until the "eye aids" session next month? The last seems to be the only option. So be it!
Thanks for being there!
Dick

CONECA is not a great source for marker info Dick. The best way to determine if a coin is indeed the variety you are thinking, it is best to do a side by side comparison if you can get your hands on the known variety. Sometimes, the doubling itself is so unique that markers photos aren't a necessity.
At other times, the opposite die may have been replaced. In that case, listed markers may not even exist.
Even so, sometimes it seem just impossible to determine which one it might be. In those cases, I keep them in a stash all by themselves until they learn their lesson
