I am on day three (72 hours) and counting without even a puff on a cig . whan do the nicotine fits end. cause this is driving me more crazy then anything I have ever did. I was a 2 1/2 to 3 pack smoker a day.

Nice going, Darrell! Keep it up! Also prepare for the "long haul"! It took you many years to get to thaat level of smoking, and it will not "go away", in a day! You will develop will-power as you go along, and resist the urge. It gets les powerful, but you will see it linger for quite some time. Keep strong, and Don't gain too much weight! One vice is enough! Don't replace one with another. BEEN THERE, DONE THAT!

Darrell - you are doing great, but let me warn you, this craving for a smoke is not over until you stop thinking about smoking.

The worse time in breaking this habit has not yet come. It will hapen not maybe in a week or even in a months time, but there will come a day, long after you quit the habit, when you feel the urge to light one up. Your mind will say to you, "you have won, we no longer smoke. This one little cigarette now will not hurt us and we can always stop again right after this one. We did it before and we can do it again" When that time comes, just turn away ffrom the temptation and RUN LIKE HELL.
