Asked my dealer today and he said next time he cuts up mint sets I can have all he has. They sure do look nicer than a hole, not sure if they have a mint date on them or not.

They do NOT have a date on them, but I agree that is is nicer to have one of them in there rather than the hole.

Bruce, welcome to the forum! You are going to like it here! You have the right idea: go where the coppers are. I can imagine how it would be, a young kid, with a "warehouse full of goodies"! Wow! you are in the right place to get answers to all the questions you are going to have as you go along with checking out that set. Congratulations! Dick

many months later, here's some updated pics for anyone who cares.. (camera still sucks.. i think the set is better than the pics indicate honestly)
noteable additions..
09 rd
09 s/s red
11s ms bn
13d au+
14 rb
16 upgrade
16s rb
17 upgrade
19d,s ms bn
21 rb
22 plain upgrade.. niiiice vf/xf - my fav coin
switched around some '30-33 - still looks uneven though
i added little transparent stickers to point out varieties.. added a handfull of reds worthy of the album
also picked up the '84 ddo, and got a legit 99 wide am..
last page is all proofs.. 42, 54-74
still going strong on this set but it's getting hard to find the right coins at the right price now....... if you can help feel free to contact me.....(a red 31s would be nice, etc etc)..... thanks for looking

Bruce, that is an awesome looking set of cents! Mine don't have all the holes filled, ("P"), scarce as "hens teeth", and the GOOD ones, are still out of my pocketbook range, but I still dream!
Dick

Great set of coins. Now what you need is someone to hold them for you so they don't get dirty. If you send them all to me I'll guard them for you and allow you to see them once a year. Not much chance of that, HUH?
