I haven't found much of anything worth discussing over the past couple of months and need a good "pick-me-up" - anyone around here make any good finds lately?

Which one it is I don't know right off because I'm not at home - but I did want to say that's a really nice photo! Looks like you've been doing some practicing!

Thanks, Chuck. Same old hit and miss, though... Confused

I can't match it up with anything in the book. It has a similar placement to #5, but I can't see anything west on the upper loop and none of the remaining markers match. It might have something east on the lower loop. The hit and wear there doesn't help much for id'n it.

I've seen that die before, so it shouldn't be much trouble to find once I can get back to the references. I remember specifically the pattern of die scratches in the 9 of the date...oddly enough.

I guess this really doesn't qualify as a new find but here's a little story for you. Each year my dad saves up his Lincoln cents for me to search through. This year he had a lot less then last year. He did manage to pull most of the wheat cents aside. Last Friday I was searching the wheat cents and found a 1941P doubled die (1941P-1DO-001). The one I found appears to be in better condition then the one listed in the Die Variety Search area. I am not good at grading yet so I don't want to attempt to give it a grade. I also found several RPM a 1916 and 1911 cent. The 1911 is in bad shape and hard to read the date even under 14X. I still have the non-wheat pennies to search but that will be a few weeks before I know the results from that.

I found a 1911-D today in a roll of cents I opened at work. It a Good. Thought I needed one for the 2nd collection of cents I've started, but I've already got one. So I found an extra... Laughing
