I don't have any recent pictures of me. This one is about 7 or 8 years old. I look about 7 or 8 years older now, lol.

I have a lot of memories tied up in photographs of my relatives.
My Uncle Marvin Tingle let an interesting life and was actually who got me interested in coin collecting and in particular searching rolls of coins because he would go to old country banks and get $1,000 in change every week. My parents and I would go over to their house when I was a kid and we'd help him and Aunt Jo search the rolls. Marvin was a jeweler and had a jewelry/coin shop in Louisville, Kentucky for a while. That's when he use to fake the 1914D, 1909S VDB and I think 1922 no D cents. I have one each of his 1914D and 1909S VDB fakes. Before that though, he served in WWII, lost some toes to frostbite, was shell shocked and came home a hero. He later retired to a farm in Sonora, Kentucky and was killed with my grandmother in a home invasion. Marvin:

I'm the kid who looks like Opie, Marvin in sunglasses, my dad on far left.

This is Marvin in the dorrway to his store in 1951, the year I was born. Aunt Jo is holding me.

These are some of my relatives. Aunt Mary once gave me a large $5 bill and a $2 bill to collect when I was about 12:

Very interesting post "Murphy". I too have some "old time" photots, even one of my great- great grandmother that was taken over 150 years ago. My great grand father, Robert Charles Neff, was an associate of Thomas Edison and does have more than a few patened inventions to his name. I still have one of his jewelers hammers, circa 1900, that he used.
Family history is great, even with the "black sheep".

This is one of my boys and I. A couple years old.
This one of the boys is from last summer. As you can see they don't listen.

I didn't think my origional post that started this thread would go this far but I am very happy that it did. Lot of great photos. You guys and gals are great. Good to see faces that go with the handles.
Hope the other members add theirs as well. I may change my origional photo to add the family if I can find one of when we were still all at home.
Steven

well ive got an update for everyone on the status of my fiance and our unborn baby. As you all know Saturday night we went to the hospital because my fiance was having somewhat severe abdominal cramps, she is 15 weeks along in her pregnancy. Well the doctor ran some tests and pretty much told us that she was going to have a miscarriage due to her hormone levels drastically dropping from where they should be. They also told her that she had a urinary tract infection, which was the cause for the cramps. Well we just arrived home from her OBGYN doctor and he ran the same tests as the hospital did and basically told us the the hospital is full of retards and morons who dont know how to run a machine or read a result. So she is NOT going to lose the baby and she DOESNT have a urinary tract infection either!!! So needless to say im SUPER EXCITED and i just want to thank everyone for their prayers and kind words...i guess its back to searching rolls for me.

Aaron, that is GOOD news! Listen to your family DR's. They usually know much more than most of the "resident Physicians, due to the close contact with the family.

Aaron - That is surely great news and I wish you, your girl and your expected baby everything this world has to offer, especially good health.
Now a days it seems that fewer and fewer men become excited over, or in fact show great concern with the lives that they helped create; it seems that you are the exception. I applaud you for that and may your enthusiasm, along with your love, grow with and for your child and your child's mother.

I did forgot to add one thing to that picture that you can't see. The length of my hair is well below my shoulders, but I keep it in a pig tail.
Remember, I missed out in the 1960-1970 revolution (military - short hair cuts) and I guess I'm trying to be HIP, LOL.

Prayers do work Aaron, and I am so very happy for all of you. The emotional ups and downs of this affair must have taken a toll though. I am sure glad it ended in an emotional high
