Hi everyone
I found this cent in a box of Philly's that i had shipped to me from CT. i found 3 but the other two are on the site and i had no problem cataloging them. but this one i don't see and can use all the help i can get. it is almost like the 2006P-1DO-001>010 but it don't fit any of them.none of the markers are there except the notches on LIBERTY none of the other markers for any of the other 9 coins fit. sorry about adding so many photos but i would like to get this one in my book as i have been looking at it all day. so here we go
Thanks all
Gary

Most of the listed ones are MDS, you might have a slightly earlier state of the known ones so it does not show the markers.

Looks like it could be one of them: maybe 1DO-001, 4, 8, 11, 13.

Compare the liberty and date and see which looks closest then look real close for any sign of the markers. Maybe Bob can tell or even add it if he wants to list a different state of one of the known ones or if it's a new one.

thanks Ed
the die that is the closest is the 001 just because of the fat date and the notches from the i to the y in fact the i looks like the top was chopped off then laid back on top. but the iberty notches are the only matches that i see. i agree that it is possibly an earlier die state but i don't know for sure that why i asked for help.
maybe Bob Chuck or Coop will pop in shortly and let us all know. funny in this box i found (2), 2006P-1DO-004 cents and a 1DR-001 and this one coin so i had a good run no matter what this one is but it would be nice to know what it is for sure lol
Thanks Ed
Gary

Hi Gary,
I think I know what you have there. I matched yours to one that I had sent to Bob Piazza last year. It came back rejected as not strong enough to be listed. But he noted that it is one that John Wexler would be interested in. I just never submitted it to John. I matched the dot under the R in LIBERTY and also matched the crack on the left side planter of the reverse. The doubling is identical to mine. So in those regards I think we have the same variety cent.

On something like that I would have to see the coin to make any certain determinations. Many of the minor ones show a minute sign here or there that tells me what they are for sure, and photos never cut it. I have to be able to move the position of the light, zoom in and out - things you cannot do successfully with photos.

Gary, I'm not going to send mine to John Wexler, so send yours if you want to. Please let me know what number John assigns/ed to it, ok? Thanks.
