Just lookin through the new listings... I saw that new 83 DDR 1DR-002 and it's a whopper!!! A good reason to double check those 83 P and look for that whopper.

Very true Ed. I found a brand new 1983 DDO last week (1983P-1DO-010)...and it is a very nice one too. The 83P-1DR-002 is very scarce, and much harder to find than the big one (DDR-001). AS you stated...they are still out there, and you really should search the older coins as well as these newer ones. After 25 years in circulation, a new 1983P variety was found. Are there more out there??
