Steven, Any way you "cut" it, it still is a work of art! I am like Coop, in this area. If a router can be used, best get someone else, because i make holes, and lots of saw-dust. Birdhouses, yes, but nothing like what you are doing.

Well.
It's getting there. Now just to pull it out of the board. A buffing and a little color to see what it might look like. Definately got that circulated look to it and doesn't have the curl to the 9's of the date. But.....I'm sure a couple of you noticed that

Steven, I thought that was a "D", but now I see it is actually an "S". Still a thing of beauty!

I agree. This is a very nice work of art. What ever you do...don't buff it out. Cleaned coins are worth considerably less you know

Bob,
With all the knicks I put in it trying to dig it out of the board with a pocket knife I don't think I could hurt it much more with a bit of cleaning
Now I have to see what is on the other side """VDB"""

Yes, and polishing will only detract from the catalog value. Maybe you can have it "curated" instead?
Seriously though, that's good work you've done there. What is the diameter?

Robert,
It's 6" in diameter. I should have gone larger. I think it would have been a bit easier if I had.
Thanks Steven

Wow, it looks like some of the poor copper mixes from it's time with the wood grain showing. Great Job Steven!

I must say Steven that not only do you have a good eye for coin's, you craftmanship is exceptional. That's a wall hanger for sure right above your desk.

David,
I think you or someone mentioned using it as an avatar. I hadn't thought of that but if anyone does want to do that I certainly have no objection.

Steven,
Before the Date appeared on your board, I was guessing it was my avatar. 34 D. I still think your craftmanship is exceptional.

This work of art is now available as an avatar for anyone who wants it. Thanks to Coop for sizing it for me. It can be found in the avatar gallery under 'microcoins'. If you don't know how to change it in your profile, and If you want me to load it to your profile, please let me know.

It just occurred to me that there is a pun in there somewhere... "penny board"... anyone?... well maybe it's just me...
So what's next? IHC? FE? Large cent? Half cent?

FE would be easier but if there is another I think IHC. It would help if someone could e-mail me a BU or close to BU photo of an obverse.

Steven: Here is one I found at a coin show. Its worn a little, but you could get a pattern from it.
Or a two Cent. That is another interesting design.
