Steven, and other forum members,

I had been going thru a batch of coins, and a nice little lady came by and asked me if I had eaten yet? I said no, that I hadn't gotten around to it yet. Maybe later Some time later the little lady asked me if I had eaten yet ? I said no. Maybe later. Sometime later, The phone rang, "This is your lawyer", Your wife has divorced you! Your parents have dis-owned you! Have you eaten yet? Do we carry it too far?
Thank GOD for understanding wives.
Dick

1941S-1DO-002 All the marker's line up except the Crack above the VDB. What do you think? I decided to go back to the wheat's until I fully understand the Newer Coin.

David, I can't confirm what you have, any more than what you already have, but I would say , with all markers "in situ", it has to be pretty sure guess. The crack is not a "die" state, rather, a consecquence of use, and as such, not a reliable "marker". Had to hold up on the wheats, because I got batch of Memorials, (60 rolls) from my kid sister. Once they are sorted out, then back to the wheats.

There's atleast 4 of these now Wink

Even though this poor cent is damaged I'm still overjoyed to find it in the wild! I was hoping for that 1DO-017 and found this instead Shocked

Remember it was me that complained that this is the only one some folks recognized? I'm biased now but I still say "FS should list the other 06-Ps that are listed on this site!" Smile

Congratulations Ed! That is a rare coin! I have yet to find one of those. In fact, I have yet to find anything the last couple days. I've been busy stocking my eBay store and trying to solve my photo lighting problems, but I have searched a few rolls and came up empty. I'll get down to business again when I get some of this stuff out of the way. Cool

I had a coin shop for a little while in 1998 or 1999 but closed it. Don't remember why. It was fun though and someday I might try again. I really wanted to create a resource web site though. A large book mark site for numismatics. A one stop place for everything you might be looking for. I started it in 2001 but lost the program on my hard drive when my puter died at the time. I never finished the project, abandoning it forever. Funny thing is that it's still there and there's an average of 4 or 5 people still go there every day. It's called HASFAM COIN AND CURRENCY LINKS & RESOURCE GUIDE. http://members.tripod.com/hasfam[url]
It's old and I'm sure a lot of the links don't work anymore.

I have thought the same thing Dick. My thinking was that I wouldn't drive the price up not knowing if I'm bidding against someone here. I'm sure everyone would agree that if we knew each other's username that it would make thing's easier knowing we weren't bidding against one another. I would suggest it be emailed so that the "someone" looking at the post's would not pick up on our username knowing that the item is worth something. Just my thought's.

Nice find ED!! Your find make's me want to search my roll's now. Exclamation

Today I went to a coin show, and had very luck with Lincoln cent variety cherrypicking. I then saw a table selling foreign coins, and remembered some foreign doubled dies I had seen on ebay some months ago. I immidiately went to the table, and asked for Colombian and Brazilian coins (I remember those 2 countries for having great varieties).

Anyways, I picked out 3 amazing Brazilian doubled dies, for less than $2, that Im sure will fetch over $25 on ebay. I also found some awesome RPDs in some Colombian 1 cent pieces (from the 1960's).

I guess Ill start to focus more on foreign varieties when I go to shows.

(Ill try to post pics of the varieties by this week).

As promised, here I include 3 closeup pics of the dates of these coins. I found a total of 11 of these strong RPDs...
