Bankrolls, It is not feeder damage, due to location, so it apparently is a damaged planchet. Beyond that, I would only guess.

If it's recessed it could be planchet damage but if it's raised above the low normally recessed area below Abe it might be from die damage.
To me it looks raised since it seems to raise from the flat area into the raised bust.

I agree, ED. The angle of the shot makes it difficult to really tell. I would rule nothing out.

Thanks Dick & Ed
It is raised.
Looks like a ramp, leading from the rim,
up to Abe's bust.

More than likely it is a damaged die and not related to the strike. If strike related, I think that you would see the bust of Lincoln showing the same damage.
A damaged planchet is not likely either since the strike would tend to smooth that type defect out, however, a damaged die would transfer the damaged area to the planchet.

BJ, If I had stopped for a minute, and considered the process, step-by-step, I would have realizes what happened. That is what the lack of experience shows. I will say that in the short time I have been on the forum, I have learned a wealth of things about our hobby, thanks to all of the members who have offered comments, and explanations. BJ, YOU got me into this, thank you for helping me out! Pun intended!

It's not really an error, it's a simple matter of die damage. Stuff like this isn't marketable. I toss it all back.
