This 84-P has a very wide date and liberty but no curved spines or ramp on the E of we like most class 6 ddos have. It has almost no wear on it. I know there's a wide 84-p listed by some attributors but thought the lack of other signs of class 6 other than the liberty and date being double wide means this might just be a worn die. What is it? Confused

I do not believe that to be a DDO. Sometimes the depth of the hubbing or the strike can make the beveled devices appear thicker than normal. I am pretty sure that's what's going on here. The class 6 DDO 1984 cent shows notching in the R of TRUST and has the convex outer edges on the E and on LIBERTY as you mention them typically having. The 9 is also thick on the DDO, and yours isn't.
