The doubling is not flat or shelved,
but rounded and defined.
Is this coin from Greece?

I defer to Chuck's judgement but that sure looks "shelf-like" to me.
I think that's a 25 Stotinki coin from Bulgaria dated 1951. On the ribbon under the lion is a date "9 IX 1944" ("IX" is the 9th month) which is the 9th of September 1944, which I believe is the date that Bulgaria was liberated from the Nazis by the Soviets. Talk about out of the frying pan and into the fire!
It's a common coin, listing for $1.00 in Unc.
The letters are Cyrillic. "P" is an "R", "H" is an "N", "C" is an "S", "B" is a "V", etc.

Thanks Chuck
Robert,
Thanks for the leason!
I will take some better/closer photos tonight,
to show you they are not shelved at all,
but are well defined and rounded.

OK now I see the characteristic double serif. That's definitely a class 2 DD.
The middle pic is very good... how did you do it?

Thank You Robert!
I used a 13W light bulb,
my Digimax A402 on 4X zoom & macro setting,
and my 20X triplet.
