For those who know me personally, you know how much I talk about my grand daughter. Well, this past weekend, while visiting her Dad's Mother in Dothan, Alabama, she was entered into a beauty pageant. We didn't know about it because Eddie's mother didn't know how my daughter and Eddie would respond to putting her in it.
Anyway, the results are in, and Harmony Linn won first place. How cool is that!! Thought you might like to see the winning smile. This is my grand daughter Harmony.

She's beautiful grandpa. I'm happy for you're whole family.
Got to love being a grandparent. We do.

Well Grandpa,
She may not end up a coin collector but she's on her way to a collection of tiaras. She's a beauty.

To be young again.
No cares, no worries.
No wonder they can smile so easily.
Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes

Grandkids are the greatest. You can spoil them and send them back home to the parents! My grandson tells his Mom: "Don't come back and get me. I want to live there!"

"GRANDPA BOB, That is "Platimum Proof"! You may be a "dirty old man", but you have a beautiful grandaughter!

Coop,
Thats the 1st Dangerfield quote that made me laugh.

Bob,
Is she your only grandchild? I have put aside coin collections, ie mint & proof sets, whitman folders etc for the grandkids whether the care about it or not. i'm hoping someday they will discover them (probably long after I'm gone) and get excited about continuing on. How about you? Do you have coins in the closet for the grandkids?

Rock, do you want the truth? We all plan on taking them with us, when we go! The (collections, not the grandkids)! Where we are going, they don't have time for the grandkids! NOR collections, so we leave them to , who else, the grandkids! There actually are some of the "grandkids", that appreciate what Grandpa has done. Ask Cathy, she can tell you!

Rock: Glad you like it. I change them every 3 days or so, so post your favorite in your message and others will get to keep your favorite there.

My Grandson. My favorite pose

Not the only Grandchild, just the favorite image of one of them.

Alright, it's begun. I was wondering if anyone else besides me had a big urge to post a picture of their grandchild and it looks like Coop broke the ice. Have to rush home and upload.... Laughing It's funny Bob when you said that 'anyone who knows me personally knows how much i talk about my grand daughter'. because I think just about everyone here can claim the same thing. We love our grandkids. I will admit though, you do have a "prize winning, blue ribbon beauty of a granddaughter".

Thank you all. I couldn't help it. Rock...to answer your question, she is my only grandchild so far. I was only able to have one child myself, so I really consider myself blessed whenever I see them (which is often now because they only live 5 miles away).
I do make collections for kids, but I do it mostly for a Young Numismatists group I am sponsoring, the Girl and Boy Scouts, and the juvenile corrections facility near here. I love getting others 'hooked' into the hobby. My daughter never took up the collecting, but should my grand daughter take it up, she'll have more than she can handle.
Thanks again for all the nice words folks. I would love to see more pictures of your little ones here too!

I asked my grandson what he was holding in his hands on the image. He commented: "I don't know..." Sounds like a project in the future to take him fishing? I haven't gone since I never needed a license before age 14. Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes How many years ago.... Who knows.. Sad Sad Sad

Congratulations Bob - grandkids are so precious! Mine are still a little young, but one is in the 1st grade and occasionally makes a little sense in conversation with this old man.

Coop your grandson is a "keeper", lol! That's a great pose.
