This was found in a roll of half dollars. When, I don't know because I stacked the coins as they came out, and when checking MM, this came up:
Wonder when I'll find the "other half"?

What is it, a half of a machined out magic coin?

Looks like that to me. See if you can fit a quarter on the reverse? That may be what it is made to hold?

This is machined out to the very edges, and is way too big for the quarter. It will fit the "other half", that would go with it to conceal dope.

Ed, I registered and tried to reply to rah1959, and to your post, but I can't get my foot in the door! I keep getting a msg that says I have to be logged in to reply, and I have logged in at least three times, and said to keep me logged in. I need a guide! I think I joined that same one a while back, and gave up in disgust, because I was never able to do diddlie-squat!

Back to the two boxes of half dollars. I finally finished, this evening. Net result, id that I culled out everything that I couldn't use right away, and after filling some 4-bit albums, I put a few in flips for the date/mint set. I managed to get the best of the lot in date/rolls, in about 25 years, and several date/mint rolls. I was checking and found out that I have a good supply of '79-D. It turns out that they are in short supply. Anyway, what with a "Half-half", a 1967-D, and a very nice 1968-D, I figure I "made out"! Then there is that weird one that may be "messed with". It sure looks like a silver coin, but not a 1974-D. Monday, I'll turn in the box with49 rolls, and 10 of the "gaming tokens", for another box of half dollars. In case they don't have one in yet, I'll get a box of quarters. I still need a few roll/dates there. Enjoy your weekend!
