Normally I never take photos of coins. Attempting to figure out how here shows me why I don't. I just read a post about how to do it. I've no idea in the world what is being said. I must be older than I thought.
For example it was explained to use something called [IMG]
No idea of what that is supposed to represent
The it was explained to use PHOTOBUCKET. What is a photobucket. No idea of what that is or how it works.
In that post it was noted to use the [IMG] thing followed by http://whatever[IMG}
Again, I have no idea what that was supposed to indicate. My photos are not in some place that requires http. They are now in my hard drive. They are just sitting there with a .jpg suffix.
How can I post such photos here???????????

Carl,

I answered part of this in your 55 DDO thread.

But I should explain.....
When we post photos on the site the photos are not on the site (because it won't let you put photos on the site). So what we do is copy them from our hard drive onto photobucket which is a site that does let you store photos for free. Then we put the link to that photo on photobucket here in the post.

If you put the link with the http but without the [IMG] people can click your link and see your photo. If the link has the [IMG] on both sides of the link then it will open itself without the people clicking and it looks like the photo is right in your post.

If you experiment with it you can click "preview" and see if it will work. Smile
