Dick - Yes they are. A wavy step is nothing more than a trail line passing through a set of stairs. It may look different, but it isn't.

If you look at the stylobate under columns # 11 and 12, look at how the trail line passes through it and deviates the horizontal level line. The same thing is happening with the steps. As the trail line passes through the stairs, it deviates it in the direction that the trail line is going.

BJ,
I sent the package with the 60D proof Jefferson to you today and include the subject of this thread for you to have a look at as well. I was just curious about it because most, if not all, of the columns show this effect below them.
Hope you don't mind the extra coin in the package.

Steven - I sure will look at the extra; always interested in something that may be off the wall.
One thing, I'll be gone for most of next week. Doing an antique trip with my wife, but yours will be the first that I look at and the first to go out, when I get back.

No hurry BJ,
That nickel has been setting around for 47 years. A little longer won't matter. Smile
Wife went to Tennessee for the weekend and brought me back a box of cents. Found a 2006P 1DO-007 between these two posts. Maybe it will be a good box Smile

Rock, the lady that went to Tennessee was Stevens wife!
My wife, as sweet, and nice as she is, would not do that. She doesn't drive. I don't think I could be withour her that long. We are talking almost a week! She is capable of that, annd much more, otherwise!
About the photos.......drool, drool! I don't know what I'd do, if one like those showd up in my grimg hands!
