Just what everyone needs. Another coin web site. Sorry about the sarcasm but I'm starting to see way to many of these. Yesterday, just for the fun of it, I went to Google and typed in Lincoln Cents. I think it said there was over 2 million entries.
Imagine spending even a few minutes looking at each one.

Carl, we have a distinct advantage in that we don't HAVE to become members of every forum in existance! I have joined some, and later resigned, for whatever reason, because it did not provide the information, and/or opportunity to further my "education" in coin collecting, and more in point, the study, and learning more about varieties. Not evveryone is interested in these anomilies. Some collect for the investment, others for the sake of "just having something to do"! I have found this forum to be the most comfortable, in that I can ask any dumb question, and get a very clear, conscise, polite answer, and if I still don't "get it", they are more than willing to lay it out in words of less than one syllable, to where even I inderstand. Their help in the photography, is limitless! We do have the choice, and we hope you enjoy your choice.

Carl - Just to set the record straight, CONECA has been around for a long time and its web page pre-dates Coppercoins.
I am not to sure what you mean by "way to many of these (coin sites)" for I know of only two that have information on variety and error coins, Coppercoins and CONECA and while there may be other "forums", those sites do not have any reference material or information concerning those coins.
On top of that, CONECA deals with all denominations of U. S. coins and to date, this is the only site that does.
I am not to sure what you are trying to say, however, your information is not correct and tends to be counter-productive and pointless. But then again, this is just my opinion.

BJ, I just joined the CONECA forum. I am garryn there, just like here. Thanks for the link. I found Billy Crawford's on-line magazine in the General Forum very interesting. He is reporting a doubled die John Adams dollar and refers to "extra raised remnants" at the juncture of the arm and the cloak on Liberty as evidence of the doubled die. But I cannot see for sure what is doubled there. For example, he says that the doubling is "originates within the folds of the design", but the design of the cloak has a curve shaped like a U at the top and the doubled remnant has a curve shaped like an inverted U at the top of it. I suggested there that the remnant might be a die break. Does anyone have any comments? I also left this message at the CONECA forum to get something going there.
Here is a link to the magazine.

By the way, there are never enough coin sites.
