Dick, I was reading the posts last night with my granddaughter on my lap. When she saw the dino, she got so excited. She clapped her hands pointed to it and then leaned over to kiss the darned thing. It was so cute. I just had to write and let you know. I enjoyed the laugh.
Oh, and by the way, she got so mad at me when I tried to move on. I had to look at ole Mr. Dino for at least 5 minutes.

Mary, beauty lies within the eyes of the beholder!
He is a "hannsome" devil, isn't he? The only difference between him, and me is my white hair! Gotta love these grandkids, their innocence is beautifal!

MaryJF, and Bob, I showed your posts to the wife, and she got a big laugh out of it! We enjoy (ed)our grandkids, and some of our great-frandkids. Now we are waiting for the "greaat-great-grandkids" They are not too far in the future! The kids are in college.

Glad you enjoyed that, Dick (and Bob) Only wish I could have sent you the sights and sounds of a 2 yr old's "yeahhhh" and "cool" and the brightness in her eyes. Thanks for that Avatar. Might have missed a great memory. Everytime I look at ole Mr. Dino, I'll remember it.
And... when they leave me in less than two weeks.. who's got a nice STIFF drink for me? Won't see them again till at least Christmas, and I'm gonna have to numb the pain of the heartache I'll have as the van pulls away with my babies inside.

MaryJF, that will be a sad day, (for you), but think how happy the "whole family will be, as they drive away, on their way back HOME, with Daddy, back home"!!! Yours will be tears of sadness, but at the same time tears of joy, that someone "came back" That is a fact of life. My parents went thru it. All the parents who lost none of their young sons, and daughters, all share your tears of joy.
I hope that I too will shed those same tears of joy when both my grandsons return from IRAQ.
That is the price we Americans have to pay for our way of life! And we will comtinue to protect it, at whatever price!
There will always be tears. Sometime they will be of joy, sometimes tears of sadness. That is the price we pay
Yours in happiness,
Dick!
