Hi Steven - I beleive that I can see what you are refering to, however, in hand examination is the only way to confirm that extra feature that you see.
Now a reason why this maybe happening. Looking at that particular CONECA file, I see that it was made using a MDS coin and that particular feature may have been deleted by that time due to die wear. Your coin may be an EDS coin with sharper features.
We all know that die wear does change the appearance of the coin struck, at times adding features whiile also erasing them. The attributer makes those calls on what he sees on the coin that he is observing.
I would recommend sending it to either Bob, Chuck or Dr. Wiles to confirm the additional mint mark.
