I just found 2 1938 1DO-001's in a lot of 10 BU coins bought from a local dealer. I really thought I had only one when I looked at the coins but ended up with 2. This exmaple also shows a very nice master die doubling on the 8. Steve
I remember you found some of these before, did they also have the master doubling on the 8? If not they might be different dies. Did you compare markers? _________________ Ed

Actually, this DDO is my first DDO for the year. I did get five new 1937-P's DDO's and a new DDR for each 1938 mint placed on CC.com but no DDO's for 1938. The current coin on CC.com for this die looks like an XF coin and does appear to have the same master die doubling. Steve
