Even though this cent has been through more that one gravel lot with road rash to be proud of, it has one interesting detail that caught my eye.

That looks like glue stuck to the coin. I don't think the glob is metal.

Something caught my eye about this coin.

Just a die flow vertically, die gouge horizontally, a little imagination and the cold hard truth. Only area affected was the T. It is too small for be another T. Die gouges still show in the area around the GOD & WE area. Just not beyond TRUST. Caught my eye, but it nothing.

I was searching 1959 plain Cents and noticed two different sized letters on a couple I set aside.

I think it is the same as 1959P-1DR-005, but with more wear along the bottoms of the leters. The die state doesn't show the extra thickness at the bottoms near the rim, but heavy wear in the area. Just haven't compared the markers to see if anything matches.

Coop, check the area from11-1, on the "C", on the lower photo. I see a slight separation line, about half-way in.

Ed, yes is as you say. I was pointing out the detail, that caught my eye. The whole word is "thicker" that the upper photo.
I have been "away" for a while, what with some "manual labor", in the yard, and building up a new computer, much faster than any I have on hand, up to now. In fact, it is on line now, the one that I am using for this post. It will have to be "grounded" for a while, to re-install XP, because the version I used, won't "activate. I have otheer CDROM's to use, so no problem. It all started with a broken water line under the house, and ended up with modifying the sprinkler system, and replacing skuirting, that had been water-damaged. Then the computer crashed, etc, etc. Never a dull moment! Hope everything is running 100% with you.

The coin takes good pictures, but where you see the glare area on the lower "Bigger" Cent coins, the area is a VLDS coin where it should be interesting. The die flow is very heavy there. I've only found two of these so far, but all of the reverse is thicker. But Dick I didn't notice that area on the C from 11-1:00 area. Does look nice there. EPU is also thickened. It was a good DDR at one time, but the later die state ruins your joy in finding them. Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad

Good thing I set the first one aside. I still have a few of them, but not a lot. Just looked like it was die age. But appreciate the heads up on them also.
